What is a beef CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) allows people to purchase a ‘share’ of a farmer’s or rancher’s harvest. In our beef CSA this means a community of people own ‘shares’ of the live animals dedicated to our CSA program. When harvested, the meat is allocated to members based on the reserved ‘share’ size. It is a value-conscious, convenient way to purchase quality beef all the while knowing where it came from, how the animal was raised and that it was grown with sustainable agriculture practices.

How do reorders work?

Current members are given preference for renewals each harvest. When open ‘shares’ become available they are offered on a first come, first serve basis reservable via our website.

Where do I pick up?

Pick up is in the greater Treasure Valley area. The address is given a week prior to pick up when the final balance is due.

Do I need to bring anything to pick up?

We recommend you bring a cooler(s) to put your meat into for transport to your residence.

What if I am unable to pick up?

Arrangements can be made for a family member or friend to pick up your beef share within 48 hours if you are unavailable. Alternatively, we can deliver it to you for an additional fee.

What payment options do you offer?

We accept major credit cards, debit card, Venmo or check as a deposit on a ‘share’ and as payment for your final invoice.

Is the meat frozen?

Yes. The meat is frozen solid at pick up and should not require further ice to transport to your residence if in the greater Treasure Valley.

How much freezer space do I need?

A full beef share typically requires about 14 cubic feet of freezer space.

A half beef share typically requires about 7 cubic feet of freezer space.

A quarter beef share typically requires about 5 cubic feet of freezer space.

May I visit the ranch?
