Josh and Alicia Bruce, the backbone of Bruce Ranch beef, are the driving force behind raising some of the highest quality Angus cattle in Idaho. Alongside their three sons, they manage the cattle from birth for their local beef CSA program.
Josh, a 3rd generation rancher, hails from the Bruce family ranch in Pleasant Valley, Idaho. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the University of Idaho. His journey led him through various roles, from working in a food processing plant to becoming an insurance adjuster for disaster recovery around the U.S.
Alicia, with her own ranching background, married Josh and in 2010, they made a life changing decision to return to ranching on the Bruce family ranch. Their shared passion revolves around producing top quality cattle while nurturing the natural high-desert ecosystem, striving to leave the land better than ever for future generations.
They’ve got their hands full with three boys, who are actively learning the ropes of ranching life. Alicia, a Boise State University graduate with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education K-8, juggles her role as a full time teacher at the local elementary school.
Their days are long and busy, but they’re deeply grateful for the ranching life. Their unwavering commitment is to nurture a quality product and sustain a healthy environment.
